Lyme Regis ArtsFest is in full swing!

Lyme Regis ArtsFest 2011 got off to a great start with the launch party on Friday evening,  and on Saturday, the Mayoral Procession travelled through the town visiting the exhibitions, Open Studios and following the Art Trail through the town.

There are many interesting events coming up, including Anthea’s ‘Get Writing!’ workshop on Tuesday, 20 September, from 5pm-7pm in the Langmoor Room, Marine Parade Shelters.  This is followed by good food at the ‘Literary Evening at By the Bay’, with talks by local writers Nick Fisher and David Huggins, together with illustrator, Keith Robinson.

Check out the details for all the workshops and events on the ArtsFest website.

ArtsFest Artists wanted for Shelters’ Opening Day 9 July

We are looking for a few artists who would like to represent ArtsFest at the Opening of the Marine Parade Shelters on Saturday 9th July by running drop-in art demonstrations or workshops there. We’d like to show our support for the Shelters (which we hope to incorporate in our plans for ArtsFest 2011 so we have a presence on the beachfront).  Please let us know if you are interested.
